Anti-Hepatitis C Virus NS3 Antibody [12-15]

Mouse monoclonal [12-15] antibody targeting the Hepatitis C Virus NS3 protein, supplied unconjugated and lyophilised by Antibodies.com. The reagent is validated for ELISA and WB applications and reacts with human hepatitis C virus. It is of mouse origin, isotype IgG1, and is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. The clone was raised against a highly antigenic polypeptide of at least 60 residues selected from genes encoding the NS-3 region of Chinese HCV strains, and it recognises HCV NS-3 protein (residues 1378-1458 on HCV polyprotein). Cross-reactivity studies show the antibody does not recognise the HCV polyprotein core region and other non-structural regions. The product is lyophilised from 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.2, and is shipped at 4°C; on arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Reconstitution is with double distilled water, and the concentration is reconstitution dependent. The epitope is reported as Sp2/0-Ag14.
