Offered under the Antibodies.com brand, this primary antibody is a goat polyclonal reagent raised against Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), supplied as a purified IgG fraction in a 500 µL volume. The unconjugated reagent is reactive against the Hepatitis C Virus target and is validated for use in ELISA, indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) and Western blot (WB) workflows, making it a flexible tool for HCV serology, antigen detection and immunoblotting studies. Polyclonal IgG is purified from goat serum and provided without fluorophore or enzyme conjugation, so the antibody can be directly labelled or used in conventional chromogenic, fluorescent or chemiluminescent detection systems. As with other reagents in the Antibodies.com HCV portfolio, it is intended for research use only and is suitable for laboratories working with viral antigens, recombinant HCV polyproteins, core, NS3, NS4 and envelope region constructs. For short-term storage the product is kept refrigerated at 2–8 °C, while longer-term stability is maintained by aliquoting and freezing at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody activity. The polyclonal nature of the reagent allows recognition of multiple epitopes on HCV antigens, which is particularly useful when working with diverse viral genotypes or with samples where antigen integrity may be variable.
