Anti-Hepatitis C Virus Core Antigen Antibody (FITC) [H6-29]

This Mouse monoclonal antibody, clone H6-29, is conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) for direct fluorescent detection of the Hepatitis C Virus core antigen. The antibody recognizes the conserved nucleocapsid protein (~21 kDa, also referred to as p21) of HCV, a structural component of the viral capsid that is produced as a polyprotein cleavage product during viral replication.

Supplied as a liquid preparation at 50 µg per vial, the reagent is intended for use in immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on HCV-infected cells, transfected cell lines, or fixed tissue sections. As an FITC conjugate, it can be visualized directly using standard fluorescence microscopy, with excitation near 495 nm and emission around 519 nm, eliminating the need for a secondary antibody step in many staining protocols.

For optimal performance, store the antibody refrigerated and protect it from light to preserve fluorophore activity and prevent photobleaching.
