Anti-Hepatitis B Core Antigen (HBcAg) Antibody

Sourced through Antibodies.com and distributed by AFMS in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this Mouse monoclonal antibody targets the Hepatitis B Core Antigen (HBcAg), the highly immunogenic 21 kDa replicative capsid protein expressed by HBV-infected cells. The reagent is supplied as a 1 mg Protein A–purified monoclonal in an unconjugated format, raised in Mouse and of the IgG2b isotype, making it suitable for sensitive detection without interference from secondary labels. It has been validated for use in ELISA and Western Blot (WB) workflows, the two most common immunoassay formats for HBV serology and core antigen research. The antibody's reactivity profile is directed against the Hepatitis B virus core antigen, a major clinical marker that is produced during active viral replication and that elicits strong T-cell-dependent and T-cell-independent immune responses in the host. As a Protein A-purified IgG2b preparation, the reagent can be stored long-term at –20 °C in working aliquots to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, with short-term storage at 2–8 °C.
