This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets HEC1 (also known as NDC80 or KNTC2), a core kinetochore component essential for chromosome alignment and segregation during mitosis. Raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the 100 µl vial is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence across human, mouse, and rat samples.

HEC1 forms part of the NDC80 kinetochore complex (with NUF2, SPC24, and SPC25) that links centromeres to spindle microtubules and supports proper mitotic checkpoint signaling. Researchers studying chromosome congression, aneuploidy, and tumor cell proliferation rely on this reagent because elevated HEC1 expression has been documented in breast, lung, hepatocellular, and gastric cancers and is associated with poor prognosis in several cohorts. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with fluorophore- or HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies for immunofluorescence, or with ECL substrates for Western blot detection.

Store the glycerol-containing aliquot at -20 °C in working volumes; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity. Each vial contains polyclonal rabbit antiserum ready for dilution into standard blocking buffer for IF coverslips or overnight incubation on Western blot membranes.
