Supplied by Antibodies.com as a Goat polyclonal reagent raised against whole Canine Heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) lysate, this primary antibody is provided as a purified IgG fraction in a 500 µl volume and is intended for research-grade detection of canine heartworm antigens. The antibody is unconjugated, belongs to the IgG isotype, and is formulated at approximately 4–5 mg/ml ready to be titrated directly into ELISA, immunofluorescence (IFA), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. Reported ELISA titers exceed 1:6,000 against soluble and structural antigens of the adult worm, and the reagent is non-reactive with uninfected canine serum and not pre-absorbed against related filarial nematodes, giving broad coverage of native D. immitis epitopes. Suitable as a drop-in replacement for neat antiserum, the polyclonal format delivers high affinity binding across multiple epitopes of the parasite, while the unconjugated presentation allows end-users to couple it to biotin, HRP, or fluorochromes depending on the assay. The product ships in phosphate-saline buffer (0.01 M, pH 7.2) containing 0.1% sodium azide as preservative, with recommended short-term storage at 2–8 °C and longer-term storage in frozen aliquots; protein purity is reported above 95%.
