Raised in rabbits against recombinant HDAC8 (Histone Deacetylase 8), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The 100 µl vial provides ample working stock for chromatin, gene regulation, and oncology studies probing class I histone deacetylase function in human, mouse, and rat samples.

HDAC8 is a zinc-dependent class I deacetylase that removes acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones and non-histone substrates, influencing transcription, cell cycle progression, and cytoskeletal remodeling. Validated applications include Western blot and immunohistochemistry (IHC), making this reagent useful for mapping expression changes in T-cell lymphoma models, neuroblastoma xenografts, and hepatocellular carcinoma tissue banks.

Suggested handling: keep refrigerated at 4 °C for active use, or aliquot and freeze at -20 °C for long-term retention to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The 0.1% sodium azide preservative is incompatible with certain downstream conjugation and live-cell labeling workflows.
