Anti-HDAC6 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is designed to detect endogenous levels of HDAC6 across a broad range of experimental workflows. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is provided in an unconjugated format suitable for direct labelling or detection with secondary reagents. It was generated against a synthetic peptide derived from human HDAC6 around the non-phosphorylation site of serine 22, and it cross-reacts with both human and mouse samples, making it a versatile choice for translational research laboratories. Validated applications include Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and ELISA, allowing the same lot to be used for protein expression screening, subcellular localisation studies and quantitative immunoassays. As a polyclonal host response, the reagent offers recognition of multiple epitopes on the HDAC6 target, which can be advantageous when working with denatured samples or when epitope masking is a concern. Typical short-term storage is recommended at 2–8 °C with aliquoting for longer-term use at –20 °C to preserve activity, in line with standard handling of glycerol-containing antibody solutions.
