Anti-HDAC5 / 9 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated primary antibody recognizes histone deacetylase 5 (HDAC5) and the closely related class IIa family member HDAC9, two chromatin-modifying enzymes that shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm in response to phosphorylation by CaMK and PKD signaling. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of ready-to-use reagent validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows, with demonstrated reactivity against human and mouse samples.

HDAC5 and HDAC9 share substantial homology within their conserved deacetylase domains and serve overlapping roles in repressing MEF2-dependent transcription in cardiac and skeletal muscle, regulating neuronal survival signaling, and modulating inflammatory gene expression.
