The immunogen is a synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal of human HDAC3, and the reagent specifically detects endogenous levels of total HDAC3 protein. It is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL as rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.4, without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen.
