Manufactured by Antibodies.com and distributed through AFMS, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2), also known by the synonyms HD2 and Protein deacylase HDAC2. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the region surrounding amino acids 392–396 (E-D-S-G-D) of human HDAC2, and the antibody specifically detects the endogenous level of total HDAC2 protein. It is supplied as a 50 µl liquid at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, in unconjugated form, prepared in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺. The product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
