HCRTR1, also known as orexin receptor 1 (OX1R), is a G protein–coupled receptor that mediates cellular responses to orexin A and orexin B neuropeptides, with established roles in sleep–wake regulation, feeding behavior, and reward circuitry. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 200 µl per vial, ready for use in western blot workflows on human samples. Researchers apply it to membrane preparations from cell lines expressing endogenous or recombinant receptor, and to tissue lysates from brain regions such as the lateral hypothalamus where orexin signaling originates. Published uses include studies of narcolepsy pathogenesis, addiction, and metabolic disease models, as well as investigations of receptor expression, desensitization, and ligand binding dynamics. The IgG isotype is compatible with standard anti-rabbit horseradish peroxidase or alkaline phosphatase secondary reagents for chemiluminescent or chromogenic signal generation on immunoblots.
