Anti-HCK (phospho Y522) Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com as a phospho-specific reagent, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes HCK (Hematopoietic Cell Kinase) only when tyrosine 522 carries a phosphate group. Y522 sits within the C-terminal negative regulatory tail of this Src-family non-receptor tyrosine kinase, a residue commonly probed in studies of myeloid and B-cell signaling where HCK activity is restrained by intramolecular inhibitory phosphorylation.

The reagent is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated IgG antiserum from a rabbit host, validated for Western blot (WB) detection of human HCK. Because the reagent is phospho-specific, lysates should be prepared in the presence of phosphatase inhibitors such as sodium orthovanadate and sodium fluoride to preserve the Y522 modification, and matched control lanes treated with lambda protein phosphatase help confirm that any band observed truly depends on the phospho-epitope rather than total HCK abundance.
