This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com in a 100 µL vial, targets Hematopoietic Cell Kinase (HCK), a ~57 kDa member of the Src family of non-receptor protein tyrosine kinases encoded on human chromosome 20q11-q12. The antibody is raised in rabbit, affinity-purified, and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

HCK is expressed predominantly in hematopoietic lineages, including myeloid cells, granulocytes, monocytes, macrophages, and B lymphocytes, where it transduces signals downstream of Fc receptors, integrins, and cytokine receptors. These activities link HCK to phagocytosis, degranulation, cell adhesion, and innate immune activation, and dysregulated HCK signaling has been documented in myeloid leukemia. Researchers investigating B-cell receptor signaling, FcγR-mediated effector function, or tumor-associated macrophage biology use this reagent to probe endogenous HCK expression and its activated phospho-form in cell lines such as THP-1 and U937, as well as in primary bone marrow-derived macrophages.

The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage across the HCK protein, supporting detection of both p56HCK and p59HCK isoforms that arise from alternative translational initiation. For storage, the supplier recommends keeping the antibody refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term use and aliquoting for longer-term storage at -20 °C to preserve polyclonal titer across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
