hCG β is the distinguishing subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone widely used as a pregnancy marker and overexpressed in trophoblastic and germ cell tumors. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com binds hCG β and has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Documented reactivity covers human and mouse samples, so investigators can compare patient-derived specimens with rodent models of gestation, gestational trophoblastic disease, and testicular germ cell cancer using the same primary antibody.

Polyclonal preparations engage multiple epitopes across the target, which makes this reagent well suited to denatured protein in WB and to formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue in IHC, where conformational epitopes are routinely lost. Studies of placental biology, molar pregnancy, choriocarcinoma, seminoma, embryonal carcinoma, or non-trophoblastic cancers that ectopically secrete hCG can use it to localize beta-subunit expression in cell pellets and tissue sections. The unconjugated format allows free selection of HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries to align with established staining pipelines.

Each vial contains 50 µl of ready-to-dilute antibody. Store refrigerated in single-use aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light when downstream fluorescence is planned. For research use only.
