HCFC1 (Host Cell Factor C1) is a nuclear transcriptional coactivator that bridges chromatin-modifying complexes with sequence-specific transcription factors and also serves as a cofactor for herpes simplex virus VP16-mediated transactivation. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, packaged as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated primary antibody.
Validated applications include Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of chromatin-associated transcriptional regulation, host-pathogen interactions during herpesvirus infection, and the cell-cycle roles attributed to this factor. Aliquot upon receipt, store refrigerated, and protect from prolonged light exposure to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
