HBO1 (also known as KAT7 or MYST2) is a MYST-family histone acetyltransferase that catalyzes acetylation of histone H4 at lysine residues such as H4K5, H4K8, and H4K12, and it serves as the catalytic subunit of multiprotein complexes containing JADE proteins, ING4/5, MEAF6, and PHF15. This Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal primary antibody was raised against HBO1 and is supplied unconjugated for use in chromatin and epigenetic research workflows.

The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples. Provided as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the antibody is ready to dilute into standard immunoblotting and tissue-staining protocols. The polyclonal format yields epitope diversity across the HBO1 protein, supporting detection in cell lysates as well as in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.

For storage, keep the vial refrigerated at -20°C; the 50% glycerol cryoprotectant maintains antibody activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles when the product is divided into small aliquots. Researchers investigating DNA replication licensing, histone acetylation dynamics, or HBO1-dependent transcription regulation can apply this reagent to western blot analysis of nuclear extracts and to IHC staining for spatial profiling of HBO1 expression in tissue.
