HAX1 (HCLS1-associated protein X-1) is a ubiquitously expressed, mitochondrial-associated protein most often studied for its role as a negative regulator of apoptosis and for its genetic link to autosomal recessive severe congenital neutropenia (Kostmann disease). The protein was originally identified through its interaction with hematopoietic lineage cell-specific protein 1 (HS1) and has since been implicated in calcium homeostasis, RNA processing, cell migration, and cytoskeletal remodeling. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, recognizes the HAX1 target in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. It is provided unconjugated at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, supplied in a 100 µL vial. For routine handling, store frozen at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light. The reagent is suited to investigations of granulocyte maturation, mitochondrial stress responses, and Bcl-2-family signaling.
