Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent and distributed through Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified antiserum targets human Haptoglobin (HP) and is supplied at a working volume of 100 µl in an unconjugated, preservative-containing format (0.1M Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.0, 10% glycerol, 0.01% thimerosal). The immunogen corresponds to a recombinant fragment spanning amino acids 70–286 of human HP, a region shared by the ~38 kDa subunit of the circulating hemoglobin-binding protein, and the antibody has been validated for Western blotting (1:500–1:3,000), immunohistochemical staining of paraffin sections (1:100–1:250, with a representative image obtained on HSC3 xenografts), and immunofluorescence/ICC (1:100–1:200). Reactivity is limited to human samples, and the reagent is purified by antigen-affinity chromatography prior to bottling, making it suitable for research workflows that require a clean secondary-detection step. Because the product is presented unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-labelled secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice. It is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications; storage at the supplied pH 7.0 buffer is sufficient for routine short-term handling, with longer-term aliquoting recommended at –20 °C or below to preserve activity.
