The HAGH gene encodes hydroxyacylglutathione hydrolase, the second enzyme of the glyoxalase pathway that converts S-(2-hydroxyacyl)glutathione to glutathione and a 2-hydroxycarboxylic acid during methylglyoxal detoxification. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against the human HAGH target and is supplied as 100 µL of liquid reagent per vial. It is validated for western blot and immunofluorescence applications on human samples, and its polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on both the cytoplasmic and mitochondrial isoforms of the glyoxalase II enzyme. Researchers investigating methylglyoxal metabolism, advanced glycation end-product formation, oxidative stress, diabetic complications, and related neurodegenerative disease models use this reagent to localize and quantify endogenous HAGH expression. The host species is rabbit, the conjugate is unconjugated, and the antibody is reactive with human tissue, supporting reproducible detection in standard immunoassay workflows.
