HAGH (hydroxyacylglutathione hydrolase), also called glyoxalase II, is a cytoplasmic thiolesterase that catalyzes the second step of the glyoxalase pathway, hydrolyzing S-(2-hydroxyacyl)glutathione into hydroxycarboxylic acid and glutathione. This rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, recognizes human HAGH and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on formaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. The unconjugated reagent is provided as 100 µl of polyclonal serum raised in rabbit, allowing flexible secondary antibody pairing and direct labeling for chromogenic or fluorescence detection. Researchers studying metabolic stress, methylglyoxal detoxification, and advanced glycation end-product biology use this reagent to profile HAGH expression in cell lysates and tissue samples.
