This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes the HADHA protein, the alpha subunit of the mitochondrial trifunctional enzyme complex that catalyzes three sequential steps in long-chain fatty acid beta-oxidation. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum, the reagent is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of mitochondrial bioenergetics, lipid metabolism, and inherited disorders such as LCHAD deficiency. Researchers commonly use it as a marker of mitochondrial mass, to assess loading of the trifunctional complex in cell lysates, and to map tissue-specific expression in liver, cardiac, and skeletal muscle where oxidative metabolism predominates. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with secondary reagents labeled to fluorophores, HRP, or biotin depending on the detection platform. Each lot is released by Antibodies.com under quality-control specifications aimed at reproducible signal in both fixed tissue sections and denatured protein extracts.
