The HA-tag is a 9-amino-acid peptide epitope (YPYDVPDYA) derived from the influenza virus hemagglutinin protein, routinely fused to recombinant proteins to enable tracking, detection, and affinity purification. This polyclonal rabbit reagent from Antibodies.com binds the HA-tag sequence, allowing researchers to monitor HA-tagged constructs expressed in heterologous systems.

Each vial contains 50 µL of antibody at 1 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The unconjugated format leaves the antibody free for downstream labeling with fluorophores, horseradish peroxidase, biotin, or beads, depending on the assay design. Because the reagent is polyclonal, it recognizes multiple epitopes across the HA-tag region, supporting stronger signals on western blots of low-expression targets.

Validated for western blot (WB), this primary antibody is widely used in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry workflows. It is also commonly applied in immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) experiments. Recommended handling: store refrigerated for short-term use; for longer storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
