Anti-H. pylori CagA Antibody [5H10]

Mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody produced by Antibodies.com for researchers investigating Helicobacter pylori virulence and host-pathogen interactions. Clone 5H10 binds the cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA) protein, a high-molecular-weight bacterial effector that is translocated into human gastric epithelial cells through the H. pylori type IV secretion system. Strains carrying the cag pathogenicity island (cagPAI) and expressing CagA are clinically associated with more severe gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, and an elevated long-term risk of gastric adenocarcinoma, which is why CagA seropositivity and CagA detection in gastric biopsies are widely used readouts of strain pathogenicity in clinical microbiology and infectious-disease research.

Supplied as 100 µg of lyophilised product in a single vial for reconstitution, this unconjugated reagent is listed as a primary antibody for ELISA workflows and is also commonly applied by H. pylori groups to immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, and cell-based infection assays. As a mouse IgG1, it pairs cleanly with standard anti-mouse secondary reagents and with biotin, HRP, or fluorophore labelling carried out in the end user's own laboratory.

Storage and handling: briefly spin the vial before opening, reconstitute in sterile distilled water to a working stock, aliquot single-use portions, and freeze at -20 °C for long-term storage.
