Offered by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Granzyme B (GZMB), a serine protease classically associated with cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using a recombinant human GZMB immunogen. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µl aliquot, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is shipped at 4 °C for short-term transit before being stored at −20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze/thaw damage. It detects endogenous levels of total GZMB protein and has been validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) on paraffin sections, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), with antibody-antigen complexes demonstrated on extracts of multiple cell lines, on paraffin-embedded human thyroid cancer tissue at a 1:200 dilution, and on U2OS cells with DAPI nuclear counterstain. The reagent is reactive against Human, Mouse and Rat samples, listed among recommended markers for cytotoxic T cell and NK cell research, and carries synonyms including C11, CGL1, CSPB, CTLA-1, CTLA1, CTSGL1, Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte proteinase 2, Fragmentin-2, GRB and Lymphocyte protease. As a polyclonal reagent it contains a heterogeneous population of rabbit IgG molecules directed at multiple epitopes on GZMB, and is intended for research use only.
