This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against glycogen synthase 1 (GYS1) when phosphorylated at serine 641, providing researchers with a highly specific reagent to study glycogen biosynthesis regulation in muscle and other tissues. Supplied as 50 µl of Protein A affinity-purified antibody in a ready-to-use buffer of 1×TBS (pH 7.4) supplemented with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, the reagent is unconjugated and validated for western blotting (WB), immunocytochemistry (ICC) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). The host species is rabbit, the clonality is monoclonal, and the antibody detects an endogenous band at approximately 84 kDa corresponding to phosphorylated GYS1. Cross-reactivity has been confirmed in human and mouse samples, and the reagent specifically recognizes GYS1 only when serine 641 is phosphorylated, making it well suited to investigations of insulin- and glycogen-dependent signaling pathways that modulate glycogen synthase activity. Researchers should note that the product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications; small aliquots should be handled with standard cold-chain precautions to preserve antibody integrity over multiple experiments.
