Beta-glucuronidase (GUSB) is a lysosomal acid hydrolase widely studied in the context of mucopolysaccharidosis type VII (Sly syndrome) and as an endogenous marker of lysosomal compartments in cell biology. The unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com selectively binds the human GUSB protein, supporting western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on fixed tissue sections and whole-cell lysates. Researchers also use related GUSB antisera to characterize gene expression when the enzyme is deployed as a reporter alongside LacZ or luciferase constructs in transient transfection assays.
Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, the antibody arrives unconjugated and is compatible with HRP- or fluorophore-based secondary detection schemes. Storage at -20 °C in small aliquots preserves activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles, and the reagent is intended for research use only. Host, clonality, conjugate, and human reactivity data are summarized on the product datasheet for inclusion in materials and methods sections.
