The Anti-Gtr2 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes the Gtr2 GTPase of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a subunit of the Rag-family GTPase heterodimer that partners with Gtr1 to relay amino acid signals to the TORC1 nutrient-sensing pathway. Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated IgG reagent is supplied as 100 µl of liquid and is validated for western blot detection of Gtr2 in yeast whole-cell lysates.
Investigators studying amino acid-dependent TORC1 regulation, nitrogen catabolite repression (NCR), autophagy induction, and vacuolar signaling use this reagent to track Gtr2 expression, GTP/GDP loading, and functional interplay with Ego1 and Ego3 at the vacuolar membrane. For western blot applications, follow standard polyclonal IgG dilution guidelines, aliquot the vial to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and store refrigerated at 4°C between uses to preserve antibody activity throughout the recommended shelf life.
