Raised in rabbit against a recombinant fusion protein spanning amino acids 1-260 of human GTF2H2C_2 (NCBI RefSeq NP_001035955.1), this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is affinity purified and supplied as an unconjugated 200 µl aliquot. GTF2H2C_2 is a 44 kDa paralog in the general transcription factor IIH subunit 2 family that contributes to the TFIIH core complex, a multi-subunit assembly required for RNA polymerase II transcription initiation and for nucleotide excision repair of UV-induced DNA lesions. The antibody is validated for western blot detection of the endogenous target in human, mouse, and rat samples and is recommended at a working dilution of 1:500 to 1:2000, depending on lysate abundance and detection system. Storage buffer is phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.30, with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant; the vial is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C for longer-term use, with freeze-thaw cycles kept to a minimum to preserve antibody activity. Researchers examining TFIIH complex assembly, transcription-coupled nucleotide excision repair, or paralog-specific functions of the 5q13 duplicated gene cluster can use this reagent to probe endogenous GTF2H2C_2 expression across species-relevant cell and tissue lysates. For research use only.
