Target the p44 subunit of the general transcription factor IIH complex with this rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, raised against GTF2H2 and validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated IgG reagent is supplied as 200 µl of liquid antiserum, ready for chromogenic detection in fixed tissue sections and immunoblots of nuclear extracts. GTF2H2 contributes to both RNA polymerase II transcription initiation and nucleotide excision repair, supporting research into NER pathways, transcription-coupled repair, and disorders such as xeroderma pigmentosum and Cockayne syndrome where TFIIH function is compromised. The antibody cross-reacts with the conserved mammalian ortholog, enabling parallel studies across cultured human cell lines and rodent model systems. For routine handling, aliquot the antibody upon arrival and freeze in single-use portions to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding affinity. Each preparation is quality-controlled by the supplier to ensure consistent performance in immunodetection workflows.
