The general transcription factor IIH subunit 1 (GTF2H1), a 62 kDa protein also known as P62, anchors the multi-subunit TFIIH complex in human cells. TFIIH opens promoter DNA around the transcription start site, supports RNA polymerase II initiation through its CDK7 kinase activity, and participates in nucleotide excision repair of bulky DNA lesions. This monoclonal mouse IgG1 reagent from Antibodies.com (50 µL, unconjugated) was raised against GTF2H1 and is applied in western blot and immunoprecipitation workflows on human samples.

It is provided as a purified protein in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 50% glycerol, and 0.2% sodium azide as a preservative. In IP, the antibody selectively pulls down endogenous P62 from whole-cell lysates prepared under non-denaturing conditions, enabling co-precipitation studies of TFIIH subunits and associated repair factors. In western blot, it produces an expected band around 62 kDa after SDS-PAGE separation of lysates from cultured human cells.

Store the vial frozen at -20 °C for routine use and at -80 °C for long-term aliquots; partition into single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light. Standard sodium azide handling precautions apply.
