GSTP1 (Glutathione S-Transferase Pi 1) is a cytosolic phase II detoxification enzyme that catalyzes conjugation of reduced glutathione to electrophilic substrates, playing a central role in cellular defense against oxidative stress and xenobiotics. The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for Western Blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, with confirmed reactivity against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. It is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody, giving flexibility for direct detection or downstream conjugation depending on experimental needs. Researchers use this reagent to investigate GSTP1 expression in tumor biology, where altered Pi-class glutathione S-transferase levels have been linked to chemoresistance and malignant transformation in prostate, breast, and hepatic tissues, as well as to probe detoxification pathways in toxicology and pharmacology studies. Storage is recommended at -20°C in working aliquots to preserve antibody stability through multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
