Anti-GSTCD Antibody

The Anti-GSTCD antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent raised against the glutathione S-transferase C-terminal domain-containing protein. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera, it is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows and is reactive against human samples.

GSTCD has been identified in genome-wide association studies as a locus influencing lung function parameters such as forced expiratory volume and the ratio of forced expiratory volume to forced vital capacity, and variants in the gene have been linked to susceptibility to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This reagent supports research into pulmonary pathophysiology, airway obstruction, and the cellular mechanisms that underlie heritable variation in respiratory performance, where detection of endogenous GSTCD expression in relevant cell and tissue preparations is required.

With its IgG isotype and polyclonal clonality, the antibody is suited to immunoblotting of cell lysates and fluorescence imaging of fixed specimens, providing a tool for groups characterising the tissue distribution and subcellular localisation of the GSTCD protein in respiratory biology studies.
