Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting GSTA1 (Glutathione S-Transferase Alpha 1), a phase II detoxification enzyme that catalyzes conjugation of reduced glutathione to electrophilic substrates and supports cellular defense against oxidative stress and xenobiotic insult. Produced by Antibodies.com, this unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, ready for direct labeling or use in standard detection workflows.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, the antibody recognizes GSTA1 in human, mouse, and rat samples. GSTA1 is most highly expressed in liver, where it contributes to clearance of endogenous metabolites and environmental toxins, and altered expression has been reported in studies of hepatocellular carcinoma, chemoresistance, and hepatic injury. Researchers use this reagent to track GSTA1 levels in tissue lysates, evaluate subcellular localization in fixed sections, and probe enzyme regulation in response to drug treatment or oxidative challenge.

For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The polyclonal format delivers recognition of multiple epitopes on GSTA1, which is useful when probing for isoforms, splice variants, or truncated forms of the enzyme. Each vial is intended as a research use only reagent for laboratory applications and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
