Anti-GSS Antibody

This polyclonal rabbit antibody targets glutathione Synthetase (GSS), the ATP-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the second step in the glutathione biosynthesis pathway, joining glycine to gamma-glutamylcysteine to form reduced glutathione. It is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl vial, raised in rabbit and affinity-purified for standard immunodetection workflows.

The antibody recognizes endogenous GSS in human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing it to be deployed across multiple model systems. Validated applications include western blot (WB) for detection of the approximately 52 kDa GSS protein in tissue and cell lysates, immunohistochemistry (IHC) for localization studies in fixed tissue sections, and immunofluorescence (IF) for subcellular distribution analyses in cultured cells.
