From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta and is specifically directed at the GSK3b (Ab-9) epitope, a synthetic peptide sequence around amino acids 7–11 (T-T-S-F-A) of the human protein. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with the peptide-KLH conjugate and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific peptide, yielding an unconjugated preparation supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺. The antibody detects endogenous levels of total GSK3b protein and may cross-react with GSK-3α owing to the high sequence homology between the two isoforms. Recommended applications cover Western blotting, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, and immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), with typical working ranges of1:500–1:1000 for WB, 1:50–1:100 for IHC, and 1:100–1:200 for indirect IF. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, and the conjugate is unconjugated, making the reagent directly compatible with secondary-antibody detection systems of the user's choice. Reactivity has been validated in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting broad use across the most common research models. The product is offered in a 50 µL aliquot, shipped at 4 °C, and should be stored upon receipt at –20 °C (with short-term storage at 2–8 °C), avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve activity. It is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
