Glucose-regulated protein 75, also called mortalin or HSPA9, is a mitochondrial heat shock 70-family chaperone studied for its role in mitochondrial protein import, stress responses, and the mitochondrial unfolded protein response (UPRmt). The Anti-GRP75 Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent that recognizes this target across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work in cancer biology, neurodegeneration, and metabolic disease where mitochondrial proteostasis is a focus. GRP75 has attracted interest because of its elevated expression in transformed cells and its reported links to p53 sequestration, while altered mitochondrial chaperone balance is increasingly tied to aging and neuronal survival. The antibody is unconjugated and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl vial, validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and RNA immunoprecipitation workflows. Store aliquots at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light when not in use.
