Progranulin (GRN) is a secreted glycoprotein widely studied in neuroscience and oncology research for its roles in inflammation, wound repair, and lysosomal homeostasis. Loss-of-function mutations in the GRN gene are a leading cause of familial frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TDP-43 inclusions, making reliable detection tools essential for studies of neurodegeneration, aging, and tumor biology.
This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human progranulin and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples. Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody, supplied in a format compatible with standard immunodetection of the full-length precursor and its proteolytic granulin peptides.
Researchers investigating microglial activation, neuroinflammation, or granulin-mediated signaling can pair this reagent with appropriate secondary antibodies for chromogenic or fluorescent readout in brain, epithelial, and tumor tissue sections.
