Primary antibody reagent raised in rabbit against progranulin (GRN), a secreted glycoprotein encoded by the GRN gene that is implicated in inflammation, wound repair, neuronal survival, and lysosome biology. Loss-of-function mutations in GRN are a well-characterized cause of frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD-TDP), and altered progranulin expression is studied across oncology, metabolic disease, and neuroinflammation contexts.

This unconjugated IgG polyclonal preparation from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous GRN in human and mouse samples. The antibody is affinity-derived from rabbit hosts, allowing flexible pairing with standard anti-rabbit secondary reagents and chemiluminescent or colorimetric Western blot workflows without prior conjugation steps.

Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to preserve activity across multiple experiments; repeated freeze-thaw of the stock should be avoided by freezing in smaller portions on first thaw. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
