Anti-GRIK1 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the GRIK1 kainate receptor subunit (GluK1, formerly known as GluR5), an ionotropic glutamate receptor component expressed in the central nervous system. Raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot and is validated for Western blot detection of mouse GRIK1 protein.

GRIK1 participates in excitatory neurotransmission and has been investigated in studies of synaptic plasticity, seizure susceptibility, and several neurodevelopmental conditions, making anti-GRIK1 antibodies a useful reagent for neuroscience laboratories. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the GluK1 subunit, which can be advantageous when probing expression changes or splice variants in murine tissue lysates and primary neuronal cultures.
