GRIA1 (GluA1) is a subunit of AMPA-type ionotropic glutamate receptors that mediates fast excitatory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbit, recognizes the human, mouse, and rat GRIA1 protein and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.
Researchers studying synaptic plasticity, long-term potentiation, learning, and memory, as well as those investigating AMPA receptor trafficking and surface expression, use this reagent in both cultured neuron preparations and tissue sections. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody from Antibodies.com, the product suits labeling experiments that rely on a secondary antibody.
Typical applications include probing hippocampal and cortical lysates for changes in GluA1 expression following pharmacological, behavioral, or genetic manipulation. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with custom fluorophores or enzymes, supporting both fluorescence microscopy and chromogenic detection strategies.
