GRB2 (Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2) is an SH2/SH3 adaptor protein that couples activated receptor tyrosine kinases to the RAS-MAPK signaling cascade, and it remains a focus of cancer signaling and cell biology research. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and was generated against a peptide encompassing the arginine 178 residue of human GRB2, mapping the epitope to the C-terminal region of the protein.

Validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC), the reagent cross-reacts with mouse and rat GRB2 orthologues, enabling comparative work between human clinical specimens and rodent model tissues. Each vial contains 50 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to pair the reagent with HRP, biotin, or fluorescent secondary detection systems.

Typical applications include mapping GRB2 distribution in tumor microenvironments, characterizing downstream EGFR and HER2 pathway activity in breast carcinoma sections, and profiling adaptor protein expression across normal and diseased tissue samples. Store refrigerated in the original vial, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
