Offered by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against GRB2 (Growth Factor Receptor-Bound Protein 2), an SH2/SH3 adapter protein encoded by the GRB2 gene. The antibody is generated using a recombinant human GRB2 immunogen and is affinity-purified on the immunogen, yielding a preparation that recognises the endogenous total GRB2 protein under denaturing and native conditions. Supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, the 50 µl pack size is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (150 mM NaCl) containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with no Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺ present and no fluorophore or enzyme label conjugated. Recommended applications validated on the supplier page are Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF). Reactivity has been confirmed for Human and Mouse samples; cross-reactivity with Rat has not been validated for this particular lot. As a polyclonal reagent, the product contains a population of immunoglobulins directed against multiple epitopes on the GRB2 molecule, which generally improves signal robustness in Western blotting when probing total GRB2 expression. For handling, vials are shipped at 4 °C on blue ice and should be aliquoted upon arrival for long-term storage at –20 °C; repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve antibody activity. The conjugate status is unconjugated, making this reagent suitable for downstream labelling with secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice, including anti-rabbit IgG-HRP for chemiluminescent Western blot detection or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries for ICC/IF imaging. Intended for research use only, it is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
