Anti-GRB2 (Ab-159) Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the adaptor protein GRB2 (Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2), the central SH2-domain linker that couples activated receptor tyrosine kinases to the RAS-MAPK signalling cascade. The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl vial, ready to drop into western blot or immunohistochemistry workflows without further conjugation.

GRB2 operates as a molecular bridge in growth-factor signalling: its SH2 domain engages phosphotyrosine motifs on receptors such as EGFR, while its two SH3 domains recruit proline-rich effectors including SOS. On western blots of human cell lysates the antibody yields a band near the expected ~25 kDa mature form of the protein, and on formalin-fixed tissue sections it produces cytoplasmic staining consistent with the protein's cytosolic adaptor function.

Reactivity is validated for Human samples. For handling, aliquot upon first thaw and store refrigerated between uses; repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working stock should be minimized to preserve titre.
