Granzyme B is a serine protease stored in the cytotoxic granules of CD8+ T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, where it triggers caspase-dependent apoptosis in virus-infected and transformed target cells after perforin-mediated delivery. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

The unconjugated reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human and mouse samples, supporting studies of cell-mediated cytotoxicity, tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes, graft-versus-host disease, and antiviral immunity. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes on the mature protease helps maintain signal across tissue sections where fixation can mask individual binding sites.

Storage at -20°C in single-use aliquots protects activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles, while the glycerol buffer stabilises the protein during routine bench handling. The 50% glycerol formulation also resists accidental freezing at standard freezer temperatures and keeps the antibody ready to dilute directly into standard immunoassay buffers.
