The glucocorticoid receptor (GR), encoded by the NR3C1 gene, is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that transduces cellular signals from cortisol and related glucocorticoid hormones, regulating stress response, immune function, and key metabolic pathways. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com binds GR and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human tissue and cell-derived samples. The polyclonal format offers recognition of multiple epitopes across the receptor, which is useful when probing both full-length GR (approximately 94 kDa) and shorter receptor isoforms that arise from alternative splicing and alternative translation initiation.

Supplied as 100 µl of antibody, the reagent is suited to immunoblotting of whole-cell lysates and to chromogenic or fluorescent staining of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. Researchers studying HPA-axis biology, glucocorticoid resistance in inflammation or oncology, and transcriptional regulation of glucocorticoid-responsive genes will find this reagent a flexible addition to their workflow. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents to fit diverse detection platforms, and the 100 µl pack size supports multiple replicate experiments at typical working dilutions.
