Anti-GR (Ab-226) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against a synthetic non-phosphopeptide derived from human GR (glucocorticoid receptor), spanning the region that includes the well-characterized phosphorylation site at serine 226 (with adjacent serines 234 and 246 also referenced in the immunogen sequence L-L-S-P-L), so it recognises endogenous levels of total GR protein independently of phosphorylation status at those residues. The antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific chromatography and supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated polyclonal antibody at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with the host isotype being rabbit IgG. Validated applications are Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples, and the conjugate is unconjugated, leaving the reagent compatible with a wide range of secondary-labelling strategies. It is shipped refrigerated at 4 °C from Stockholm (Sweden) with a typical lead time of 5–8 business days, and on arrival should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
