GPR41 (also called FFAR3) is a G protein-coupled receptor that responds to short-chain fatty acids such as acetate, propionate, and butyrate, linking microbial fermentation in the gut to host metabolism and enteroendocrine signaling. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2. Packaged in a 100 µl vial, the reagent is validated for western blot and immunofluorescence applications and recognizes the receptor in human, mouse, and rat samples. Typical investigations include mapping receptor distribution in intestinal epithelium, pancreatic islets, sympathetic ganglia, and adipose tissue, as well as studies of nutrient sensing and gut–brain crosstalk. Aliquot on arrival, refrigerate, and protect from light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody integrity for downstream assays.
