Anti-GPR143 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets GPR143 (also called OA1), an X-linked G protein-coupled receptor most studied for its function in melanosome biology and as the gene mutated in X-linked ocular albinism type 1.

From Antibodies.com, the reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS, approx. pH 7.2) with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative, in a 100 µl vial.

It has been validated for Western blot of endogenous GPR143 in samples from Human, Mouse, and Rat, supporting work on melanocyte and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) signalling, melanosome biogenesis, and pigmentation pathways.

Because the polyclonal recognises multiple epitopes on the receptor, it can be applied to immunoblotting of full-length GPR143 in pigmented cell lines, primary melanocyte cultures, and heterologous expression systems, and to comparative studies of wild-type and OA1-mutant backgrounds.
