Anti-GPM6A Antibody

GPM6A (Glycoprotein M6A) is a neuronal transmembrane proteolipid broadly expressed in central nervous system neurons, where it contributes to membrane scaffolding, filopodium formation, and neurite outgrowth. Altered GPM6A expression has been reported in schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression, and in melanoma plus certain hematological malignancies, so the protein is of active interest across neuroscience and cancer biology research.

Validated applications include Western blot for endogenous GPM6A in cell and tissue lysates and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections to localize neuronal expression. The antibody is reactive against human GPM6A and is intended for research use only.
